Certainly, boredom isn't the only emotion here and probably even not the strongest one. I guess it must be a mix of angst, fear, sadness, rage, impatience, helplessness and several others - in different proportions in different minds, all adding to the general sense of being overwhelmed, as you put it. But yeah, I think the forced idleness of living in a shelter induces boredom. Wait and wait and wait until something changes, something more than a bowl of soup comes. Leave a Reply. |
