 While rain was doing its thing, bees gathered in front of the hive, climbing on one another. Apparently when there's lots of them, they don't all go inside because it would be too hot - so some have to sit outside.
On the right, you can see what a number of them built out of their bodies, a constantly moving construction.
(That must be what it's like to be a bee... not only.)
 'We haven't had much snow in a long time', they said.
 'It's the most snow we've seen in at least five years', they said, wading knee-deep.
